Maintenance, restoration, and enhancement of classic mopeds.
Currently I own a 1976 Puch Maxi S, 1977 Honda Express, and 1980 Puch Magnum II.
Since owning these I have replaced multiple top ends (cylinder, head, piston, carburetor), opened up the bottom end to replace the crankshaft, and lots of carburetor tuning.Images

Made in the winter of 2007.
This is a simple 3-nozzle external mixing system. The snow maker uses two nucleator nozzles, compressed air and water.
Honestly, snow production was pretty minimal, but it was a fun project.Images

I built this as a project with my father and now brother-in-law.
This is a fairly large 20-25 foot trebuchet. The arm is a tree we cut down in the forest surrounding my house, and we built the frame and counterweight from various supplies.
Research was done to calculate the best ratio of the arm around the pivot, as well as the starting angle that will achieve maximum projectile distance.Images

This was a project for my computer animation course. The student was required to implement a simple 2d inverse kinematics solver.
Solved via two methods: a Verlet integrator and a simple iterative method using a dot product calculation for the angular relationship of two bones.
The red joints can be dragged, and the program bends the arm to track the dragged joint to the cursor.
Both methods were written in C++ and OpenGL with GLUT.Images

iPhone game developed at Parallel. Written in Objective-C
I developed a basic view-tree structure that is in place throughout the game. Also assisted in memory management, bug fixing and gave input on statistics and probability.

This was a quick prototype developed in under a week for Capitol Music Group. It was written in Objective-C.
It is a simple tile puzzle game, allowing any image to be loaded into it and be automatically be sliced up into puzzle pieces, randomized, and played.
This was my first iPhone project, although I had previous experience with Objective-C and Cocoa through OS X development.Images
